Overview

 

The Collision Center Detailer helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by detailing their vehicles, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after detail has been complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.

 

The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast paced environment, and a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. He or she must have great communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for body shop repair or painting.
  • Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
  • Wash and dry vehicles.
  • Color sand and buff both original and newly painted surfaces as needed.
  • Apply protective sealant and polish to vehicles after work has been completed on body of vehicle.
  • Drives Vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed.
  • Delivery of vehicles to customers in a clean and undamaged condition.
  • Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested.
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
  • Follows all safety and security procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as an Automotive Detailer in a collision/body shop.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Unrestricted California driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
  • Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
  • Highly professional and dependable.
  • Excellent communication, customer service focused with the ability to problem-solving and maintain composure under stress.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and detail oriented.
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and team members.
  • Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Friendly with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Ability to Multi- Task.
  • Bilingual a PLUS!!
